Hi! I’m Hannah. I use she/her pronouns, and I’m currently based in Philadelphia, PA, where I live with my family.

I am a cultural strategist and arts administrator with a background in the performing arts and higher education. I’m deeply interested in the power of bringing together creative, values-driven people to increase our sense of shared purpose and to improve our social infrastructure, and am committed to supporting organizations and groups seeking justice and liberation from white supremacy.

More on my recent projects here.

My Approach:

I am committed to evaluating myself and my work through the lens of the following practices and values:

  • Anti-racism and anti-oppression in my thought, language, decision-making, and action.

  • An approach to time and timelines that is flexible and abundant.

  • Being present in conversation. Practicing listening that is active instead of reactive.

  • Recognizing that relationships with others are where joy is ultimately cultivated; and in-person gatherings are one means of getting to that joy.

  • Supporting causes, organizations, and individuals who are leading the way towards healing our relationship to the Earth.

  • Remembering to ask “why” and “who does it serve” when developing any project or initiative.

  • Centering well-being, for myself and my collaborators.

I am grateful for the teaching and mentorship of many folks in the social justice and cultural fields:

  • the artEquity community, led by Carmen Morgan (and in particular, Michael Robertson, Selene Santiago, Leslie Ishii, Lydia Garcia, Ty Defoe, Libby Peterson, Deadria Harrington, Nijeul X. Porter, Hana Kadoyama and John Rooney)

  • the Theatre Communications Group network (in particular, Dafina McMillan, Devon Berkshire, Corinna Schulenburg, Annabel Guevara, Diep Tran, and Elena Chang)

  • the Freelance Artist Producing Collective: Nicole Brewer, Amara Brady, Ann Marie Lonsdale, and Amara Brady.

  • And colleagues with whom I’ve had the privilege to do exciting and rewarding facilitation and organizational change work: Michele Kumi Baer, Farah Bala, Ti Wilhelm, Meena Malik, Kayla Kim Votapek, Katherine MacHolmes, Rachel Grossman, Jazzy Davis, Sophia Skiles, Ken-Matt Martin, and many more.
